Our facility services in Oman are currently focused on maintaining and coating pipelines, maintaining Generator and Vales Maintenance.

Pipeline Maintenance

Alshawamikh is responsible for the provision of pipeline integrity and maintenance services in the central Oman concession area. This includes the execution of routine and non-routine activities but is not limited to:

• Pipeline pigging.
• Commissioning/de-commissioning pipelines.
• De-oiling/de-gassing and preservation of pipelines.
• Corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection.
• Maintenance (pipeline, block valve stations, launchers, receivers, etc.)
• Pipeline integrity associated with civil work • AUT and specialized inspections.
• Coating rehabilitation of underground pipelines.
• Pipeline emergency repairs.

 

Water Treatment

 

Alshawamikh along with its JV partners is working on a major Industrial contract in Oman to implement a natural and environmentally friendly water treatment system.

It was a major contract awarded by Petroleum Development Oman, the leading oil & gas exploration and production company in the Sultanate, a 20-year Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) contract for the treatment of 40,000 m3/d of produced water coming from oil fields located in Rima, about 700 km south of Muscat, capital of Oman.  This contract aims at implementing alternative techniques to treat and dispose of produced water, which is the oily wastewater generated during the extraction and recovery of oil.  This natural and environmentally friendly treatment system will avoid the disposal of hydrocarbon-polluted produced water in the deep well aquifers.  It will also significantly reduce the oilfield’s environmental footprint and contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

 

Sand Sucker

Our sand removal operations have the following portfolio:

• Sand removal is undertaken from well cellar pits, process facilities, and pipelines.
• 2 Sand Suckers deployed with OXY and BP.
• 2 crew deployed + Manual Shovelling crew.
• Approximately 1200 cubic meters of sand removed per month.

 

Generator and Valves Maintenance

Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of 200 Gensets (2 crew).
Calibration, overhauling, and maintenance of around 1000 Pressure Safety Valves, Pressure Control Valves, Level Control Valves, Shut Down Valves, and other process instruments (2 crew).
